All I had to do was look over my notes and specific highlighted points and piece it all together making sure it made sense. Finally, I came to the conclusion. I think the conclusion is the most important part of the essay. It is the final thing you get to say to your readers, so I wanted to make sure it was amazing. Making sure that I had enough supporting facts, I had my notes right by my side marking the material I had used making sure I did not miss anything. I read through my entire essay twice and everything seemed to flow and make sense. The professor then suggested that I come up with a more practical solution, such as reforming the law. Reading this sparked a completely different idea in my mind. My new solution would be to create a standardized, universal administration proesss that would require all insurance companies to abide by the same rules, instead of each implementing their own. I continued to include statistics and factual information that would strengthen my claim and argument. I realized that the best way to create an effective argument is through the use of solid facts from a source with a strong ethos. My first drafts usually include all of my thoughts down on paper, sometimes as an outline with minimal quotes. The next draft will look more complete with more quotes and analysis. Revision plays a big role in the process of generating and discovering arguments because as I am revising from the feedback I received, some arguments need to be restated for the reader to understand my point. Revisions also help me focus in on the flow of my paper and whether or not all of my points make sense and support each other. I have learned to go over my work several times so that I can catch any errors, including grammatical ones, in efforts to make my paper as professional and organized as possible.
